So wait...looking at the source, it seems you did use the stroke width tool for some things (like the ear detail, hooves inner stroke, etc.), but used filled paths for other things like the eye lashes. I'm confused.

Well it's easier to manually draw the eye lashes rather than to create a stroke and then manipulate it to fit. I'll use whatever method is easiest, and works best, at that particular point. I see no point in using 1 method, based on principle, when multiple methods could produce a better or quicker result
